Do any of the controls feel different at all? Unless he had wet sand hands, I don't think he could've dropped enough on your camera.
How do i find out if sand is on the body of my camera or in the internals. I was out on a promenade near a beach taking photos and a kid came up to me asking if he could have a go. I let him take a photo and i explained how the camera works. I only realized that he could have had sand on his hands and now I'm worried it's in my camera. Im on holiday so i dont really wanna start taking my camera apart or waiting till i get home to get it CLA'd.

Apart from taking a rocket blower to the exterior of the camera + lens, I wouldn’t worry so much unless the controls suddenly feel gritty.
I dont have a rocket blower.
