Hey, I'm Sitting here!!!!!!
Long time listener, first time poster.
We were in Niagara Falls this week to meet up with some friends. Husband and I took the kids to McDonald’s on Victoria and it was busy. We sat at a long table intended for 8 people. We were just a group of 4 so we used 4 seats. My husband went to the washroom and I ordered the food. And as that was happening a woman came in with like 10 kids and started seating them everywhere. They filled up the other side of our table - which was fine. But then the woman started yelling for more kids to come because there were “2 extra seats” (mine and my husbands seats!!!). I was so shocked - I wasn’t going to order for me or my husband so I let it slide but I was so irritated by the entitlement. I saw the woman eyeing a table that was clearing out in a booth and I set my bag down on the table and sat there with my husband while she was sandwiched at a small table between other customers who probably hated her too.
Hey, I'm Sitting here!!!!!!
You can't park here, lady
Sorry lady, you filled all the other tables 🤷♀️
I would have told her those seats were taken.
I don’t think you understand what entitlement means… Someone who comes in with a bunch of kids and is desperate to find seating does not have entitlement issues. If she had picked up your bag and put it on the floor and then sat at your table, and when you try to explain that that was your table and she was rude and or ignored you and tried to use the excuse that you weren’t there and there are no saved tables -you could’ve said she was exhibiting entitlement but even that’s a stretch. “Entitlement issues refer to an unrealistic belief that one inherently deserves special treatment, privileges, or rewards without earning them or considering others. This mindset involves expecting the rules not to apply to oneself, lacking empathy, and reacting with anger or frustration when basic demands are unmet” https://www.webmd.com/mental-health/what-is-an-entitlement-mentality
You sound very entitled with too many entitled kids: 🤮
Hard agree. I mean OP and her family of 4 sat at a table meant for 14 people, and she's the one saying this other person, who was with a ton of people, is entitled lmao
Why all the DV? The so called “entitled” person didn’t have a magic 8 ball 🎱 telling her the seats were taken. I’ve had that happen while my kids were in the restroom and I straight up told her that the seats were taken and she was fine with it
Why let her get away with it? EntitledPeople only succeed if you allow them. You or your husband need to grow a pair of chicken nuggets.
😆😆😆
So who is the entitled person here? You and your husband and 2 children got a table meant for 14 people and it was only the 4 of you. You didn't use your big girl voice to tell the other woman, who was clearly with a lot of people that some of the seats she took were already being used. I'm confused...should she not help the kids she knows that are entering to get seats? It was probably some sort of sport tournament. Unfortunately teams take up a lot of seats. It's not entitled to go to a fast food restaurant and use the seats when the seats are needed...
8 people, not 14. And OP wrote she had no problem with them taking the other half of the table.
Don’t let her get away with that, tell her how entitled she really is!!!
That’s where you loudly yell that those seats are taken godammit!
the entitlement is unreal, like you really think you can just take someone else's seat because you have a crowd?
Why did you sit on an 8 person table?
It was the only one I could see available when we were seated.
Totally not the point!
Isn't the etiquette at fast food restaurants: Order your food, receive your food, THEN find a place to sit?
No? How else would you be able to select dine in or table service if you didn’t know you had a…table? Especially with small children who may need help (ex opening milk, yogurt tube, straw etc) And by this logic - great - she would have spent 30 Mins ordering and getting all her meals and we would have been done with *our* table!
She's rude as hell
