so this story is from my mom who is a flight attendant. This is another one of her stories. so a passenger was refusing to buckle their seat belt unless she got first class. (first class was full and they were on the runway it’s self) so my mom had went to talk with passenger and she said “if I can’t get first class I want to get off this flight“ my confirmed that she want off the flight the pass said “yes I do” so they had to pull back to the gate and as they were pulling in the passenger said “never mind I want to stay“ (FAA rules say if you want off you have to get off no changing your mind) so the passenger had to taken off with security and the flight was d 45 minutes
Hopefully she lost her money and it taught the woman a lesson
I wouldn't count on it teaching her a lesson
It would be a shame if the other people on the plane somehow found all her social media and expressed their thanks for the flight delay.
No fly list would be a better result

As an FA myself, I occasionally have to remind ppl that travel is a privilege that can be revoked at any time for not adhering to any of the safety rules. Some ppl claim ignorance, not realizing that by purchasing the ticket, they are entering into an agreement which the airline to follow said rules. 😉
Many years ago a passenger refused to follow instructions and put their bag in the overhead with the wheels in first. After much arguing, the FA disappeared. A few minutes later, the police show up and told the stubborn passenger "I don't care what happened, I'm not here to argue. You're coming with me." Real FAFO moment for this passenger. We were delayed while they took the checked bag out of the hold.
As an FA you are incorrect. The right to travel is a fundamental constitutional right in the United U.S. The Supreme Court protects it as an "unenumerated" (implied) right under the Fourteenth Amendment, Article IV, and the Commerce Clause. However there is no right to fly on your airline.

Isn't there a global banned fliers list? If not? Why not? I think it would be great to exclude these people from flights. Well maybe they can still fly but they need "Behaviour Insurance" People who have been de-planed for reasons will now need to have "return to Gate" insurance to accommodate the airline and all of the people who were inconvenienced or were made to miss their next flight.

Yeah your mom lied to you… that’s not at all how that situation would be handled. Refusing to follow up crew members instructions is a federal offense. If she decided to continue on with her rant, the pilots would’ve had to turn back and she would’ve been arrested. She would not have been given the choice about getting off nor would they inconvenience an entire planeful of people so that she could be accommodated unless there was a medical emergency or a safety issue. Once again, safety issue would result in her being arrested at the gate. Funniest thing I’ve heard a few times: “ladies, and gentlemen, just sitting up here in the cockpit. As soon as my little indicator light comes on showing everyone’s seatbelts are fastened, we can go ahead and push back from the gate and be on our way.” Theres always at least 2 or 3 clicks that happen! 🤣🤣🤣
