It has been a long 8 years of having to live next door to them. i own my home and that house is a rental. The mother was human garbage and she was formally evicted. The eldest son took over the lease three years ago. There are 6 people sharing that 3 bedroom house — him, another man, a woman and his three siblings.
The issues mainly are 1) him and the other entitled a-hole like to blast music with lots of loud bass and he/the eldest son started parking beyond the driveway on the side of the house, which is right outside my bedroom window.
Between all of that, the kids have thrown so much trash, broken cinder blocks, etc. over the fence.
I have lost so much sleep between having my sleep disrupted or being jarred awake. Tonight it was 11:15pm that the first entitled a-hole came in with bass thumping. He quickly went inside. Then the second entitled a-hole came in, pulled up on the side of the house at 11:42pm and proceeded to scroll on his phone.
We have security cameras installed all around the house and property. I could see him just scrolling away. I was waiting, because that a-hole has awakened me so many times. No, they are not civilized, so speaking to them is not going to happen.
I turned the floodlight on and it was shining into his car, so he quickly got out and went inside: I will do this every night going forward until he either gets it, or, I will send the security footage to his property manager to show how loud the car doors slamming are.
I wish that some entitled a-hole will wake him and the selfish prick up and disrupt their sleep to the point that they are sleep deprived. Selfish entitled people suck!

Not sure where you are and what the laws are where you are. Where I am, if someone complains about renters to a landlord/ agency about antisocial behaviour, it’s a warning to the renters if they don’t behave better, that may be evicted. It’s one of the very few ways to evict someone. However, that all depends on whether the landlord cares enough about their neighbours. You are supposed to be able to have a quiet enjoyment of your home.
I agree. However, the owner does not care. I have tried to reach out to him numerous times after the property manager has done nothing. I’m at the point that I am going to do exactly what I did tonight and continue to record him slamming the car doors.
Why don't people say where they live ? Then we could help them with their problem, otherwise I see it as karma farming then .
Make as much noise as is legal during their sleep cycle. Since they are out late, they probably sleep late. Start mowing the lawn, blowing leaves and debris from your yard. Throw the trash that they have thrown into your yard, back into theirs. This is the only way to fight asshole neighbors. For sure send the videos to their property manager and request they be evicted, post haste.
Unfortunately it won’t matter. The bedrooms are on the other side of the house. I think the a-hole son might sleep in the family room, which is the room closest to where he’s parking. I would not want to disrupt my other neighbor’s peace. Him and the other guy are trash. I definitely will keep recording at night when he comes and ensure i get the audio. I was so irritated tonight that i forgot to hit the audio speaker to capture him slamming the car door.
after 8 years of bass, door slamming, and trash being thrown over ur fence, i get why ur completely over them. turning on ur own floodlight when he’s sitting right outside ur bedroom late at night isn’t some outrageous revenge plan. but i wouldn’t rely on hoping he “gets it.” save the footage, keep a log of dates and times, and send it to the property manager whenever it happens. the late-night noise and them using the side of the house like an extra parking area is way more useful to report than getting into a petty back-and-forth with people u already know won’t listen.

What time do they get up? Maybe start earlier.
Their bedroom windows are on the opposite side of my bedroom windows. I think (but I’m not sure) that the selfish azz adult son sleeps in the family room. I don’t want to disturb the other neighbors. The house next to them/their bedrooms are a husband and wife that are teachers and they ate quiet. I’m so fed up with having these entitled azzholes as neighbors.

If your town or county has noise ordinances, you may able to get some traction by calling the police during these events. Maybe enlist other neighbors as well, if it bothers them also.
There is a noise ordinance here. They blast the music long enough to wake you and either drive off or go inside. I have security cameras and I am just about to get one more installed on the same side as where he is parking. Where the driveway and he is parked are further away from the house on the other side, so those neighbors don’t hear much. The neighbor across the street (their bedroom is in the back of the house) doesn’t catch much of the noise.
you should definitely document everything for your landlord or local authorities. sounds exhausting to deal with that noise every night
If the mom was evicted, and the house has too many residents, there's a good chance they are on thin ice with the landlord. Regular complaints, documented with photos to the landlord might be the last straw before he evicts them or doesn't renew the lease.
Check whether your county/city has a noise ordinance which requires quiet at night.
Report them and document everything. You've got cameras, so gather evidence for the landlord or authorities if needed.
Are you the only neighbor who cares about this? Are you all calling the police and landlord?
The other neighbor’s houses are further away. Our bedrooms abut that rental home’s driveway, so unfortunately we are the closest to the noise. The other neighbor (who was aware of what has gone on) has moved. I have called the police, I’ve kept a detailed log of the date, and incidents. I have photos and camera footage, but the cameras don’t capture the bass as bass is a different frequency.
Why aren't you blasting music at 9am when they are asleep?
I don’t want to be that entitled person disrupting the decent neighbor’s peace, especially since the wife across the street works at night. I did speak with the community policing officer who said he would go over and speak with them this week.
There are so many clever people on here I would be surprised if some don’t come up with some ideas that will drive them nuts. Maybe the neighbor on the bedroom side will let you run your leaf blower on their property. Garbage - throw it on their stoop. Cook food on a bbq that is really Smokey. I am not clever enough to come up with ideas, sorry.
No, thank you those were good ideas. I did get a little reprieve after speaking with a community policing officer today. He asked if I wanted him to talk with them. I said yes, but I still plan on getting video footage as proof, so the owner nor the property manager can deny anything.
