This is a great resource. CC0 with no content ID flags is huge for anyone doing documentary work, since even one Content ID claim can tank a video's monetization or get it blocked in certain countries. The electric guitar textures you're describing (Chicago blues, pre-war blues, dark Americana) fill a gap too. Most royalty-free libraries lean orchestral or synth-driven, so it's rare to find genuine period-accurate blues and Americana that's actually free to use. Downloaded a few tracks from the Free Music Archive link and the "dusty tape deck" quality comes through, it's not a sterile studio recording pretending to sound old. That's going to work well under narration for anything Depression-era or Old West themed. Appreciate you putting 28 years of playing out there for free. I'm pretty methodical about my process (or I should say method-focused); it's all "organic" direct-line capture of electric guitar. E.g., there's no digital processing like adding fake vinyl plug-in sounds or anything like that. So some of that dusty-ness comes from the natural clock hiss from equipment I'm using, hum from the single coil pickups, or there's one album with natural soundscapes mixed in lightly from the recording site.
