She has been one of the most famous human beings on earth for like two decades. Surely there’s more of a legacy than you’re implying.
I guarantee you most people don’t know about her controversies and even if they do they don’t care.
The woman has more monthly listeners on Spotify than Beyoncé just because her new music isn’t doing well doesn’t erase the huge hits she’s had like Firework is one of the biggest songs of all time not even just of the 2010s.
And I am not even a huge Katy fan and I understand she has done terrible things but be realistic here her legacy is intact.

Yeah people overestimate how much people care about celebrity drama. Nowadays people do not care especially when it's a singer's legacy songs of course those still get streams.

the internet's got a weird obsession with declaring careers over the second someone isn't the main character of pop culture legacy talk is always gonna be warped when it's just people arguing about what they see on their own feeds. katy's fine, she's got a catalog that'll outlive most of the noise
I think more dangerous to her legacy is she has been in a musical flop era. People will forgive bad behavior in celebrities. They are less forgiving of failure.
People just like to gang up and hate on people. Katy is the most recent victim. This new generation of just complaining, shitting on everything, and calling everything cringe is just ridiculous
She’s a completely manufactured star. Like most pop stars, her success is owed to her producers and songwriters, not her talent.
Katy Perry's music has aged to where it is ironic / Campy Fun. Kind of like alot of disco. I heard about the 'bottle fiasco' at her last concert wnd thought it was hilarious so I threw on a playlist of Perry hits at work and had a laugh.
You can't ruin a legacy you never had. The last time she did anything interesting she was cameoing in Gym Class videos.
Honestly, I wanna say it’s just because people are looking at it from a narrow perspective. Just because she’s in “flop era” currently does not undermine the success she’s had in her career overall. She IS one of the biggest pop stars, and that is an undeniable fact. To say otherwise is just bias showing
