I've been thinking that every citizen should do this when encountering any LEO in the US -- *Ask them politely to identify with a PIV or CAC card before any interaction. Apologize that you feel you have to do this, but there are a lot of folks running around with fake uniforms they are buying on Ebay.* It probably won't work, but if enough people do this it could send a message.
