SIB Cyberpunk 2077 PC (motionsickness)

Reason I'm asking is...

I get (motion) sick playing first person shooters, but not some slower paced games.

Like a doom, or unreal tournament, destiny, borderlands, or any of the yearly big shooter games, mirrors edge, I literally get sick in a few minutes. No matter the settings, I've tried every suggestion. I gave up playing most first person games.

But other games, like Satisfactory, Elder Scrolls games, Fallouts and such, more rpg games with combat. I can handle fine in first person.

Third person I'm fine in any game, like the division games. But I guess you can count those as a little slower paced game as well?

I'm hesitant to watch a playthrough or streams, cause I don't want to spoil the story for myself.

I'm sure about the games' story, setting and such, it's just that I don't want to get motionsick, if the game picks up speed or something after the refund window passed.

You don't have to go all gung-ho guns or melee weapons. You will see a lot of (very cool) builds geared that way for sure that look fast paced and twitchy. But, you can also go the tech route, sitting outside of a building while you hack your way in, triggering machines, gun turrets and other environmental hazards, or more usually directly attacking the cyberware of your enemies causing them to go crazy, fry their eye balls, set their brains on literal fire or even commit straight up suicide xD So I would say go for it, its an AMAZING game and doesn't have to play like a fast paced shooter at all.

I wouldn't call doom "slow paced" personally, but if you can handle doom you can handle cyberpunk. There are so many different play styles, you're bound to find something that can work for you. Perhaps a netrunner build?

There's one scene that makes you little sick but I think that's intentional. I think you'll get used to it but there are some elements in the that can trigger motion sickness. Like teleporting enemy for example.

  Which scene is that? I don’t remember it for some reason. I get motion sickness pretty easily now, but for me it’s mainly when falling. This only recently started happening but anytime I have a long drop/fall in a video game I can feel it myself in my stomach 😂 which doesn’t make sense because I’ve always loved giant roller coasters too

Cyberpunk is definitely more like Fallout in terms of first person combat pace. Go for it.

I also get sick easily from FPV games, but it didn't happen for CP, and also not from BL3. It happened on KCD1 until I found some settings to reduce, and I got sick from KCD2 just on a youtube video because the camera was shaking that much during walking. Skyrim I only play in 3rd person. There is a 3rd person mod somewhere for CP, but it didn't look as great, so I didn't use it.
