Ask your local library. They may even have a small recording studio you can book for a couple hours.
hii,i’m currently a grade 12 student who really wants to pursue Music Production. I have a genuine passion for music, but honestly, i don't really have the proper equipment to practice, i only have an acoustic guitar at home.
i need to pass an e-portfolio for benilde (DLS-CSB) where I have to include original compositions, demos, performances, and other supporting documents that show my passion for music. Ii really want to start recording, since the admission test is coming up soon, but as i said, i don't have any equipment yet and i’m still learning the ropes when it comes to production. right now, the only performance proof I have are videos from when I was still active in rondalla and choir contests way back when i was in junior high school.
i know this might sound embarrassing to ask, but im currently looking for free instruments or equipment i can use to practice and record for my portfolio.i’m just a broke student trying to make this dream work and honestly, i really want to pass the program and hopefully get a scholarship so i can afford to study music production.

Music production will most of the time, if not fully, at least include a big digital component. \-Cakewalk DaW is free, easy to use (tons of tutorials on youtube) and includes all the free plugins you may need to record, mix and do at least a mildly decent master for your portfolio. \-If you want a whole orchestra but can’t access to one, the BBC Symphony Orchestra plugin is free and is more than enough for composition, demos etc. \-If you learn basics of EQ, you CAN get good recording sounds out of your phone microphone. Bonus tip: clean your phone’s mic. \-Your guitar is a good writing ally. Use it. They do not expect you to provide a professional material, they just need to know you do have passion and will to work hard. And the best way to prove that is to make the most of what you have, even if it’s little.

Artist Name. Just pick one. Beatles, Marshmello, Led Zeppelin and Boogie Down Productions are the 4 worst names ever, and they did ok.

Reach out to the local studio owners around you as well. My studio has a full setup I use when folks book practice time, and they can use instruments we have. Also we will record whatever they practice (just raws) for funsies. I’m sure there are folks local to you who will do the same.
