Thinking about replacing my backpacking tent – worth it?

I've been thinking about replacing my tent and I'm curious if anyone here has been in a similar situation.

When I bought my current tent, I wasn't really thinking about weight or packed size. I just wanted something that would get the job done. It's a 2-person tent, but I always use it solo, and it's honestly a great tent overall.

The problem is that after a few backpacking trips, I've realized it's just... huge. It weighs about 2.6 kg (5.7 lbs), which isn't ideal, but what bothers me even more is how bulky it is. The pole sections are long and fairly heavy, and the packed tent takes up a surprising amount of space in my backpack.

I've only had it for around six months, so part of me feels like I should just keep using it. On the other hand, every trip makes me wish I had something smaller and lighter.

Has anyone upgraded from a bulky tent to a more backpacking-focused one? Was the difference big enough to justify buying a new tent?

I'd also appreciate any recommendations. I'm fine with either a 1-person tent or a compact 2-person tent. I don't need an ultralight setup—I just want something that's easier to pack and carry without sacrificing too much comfort or durability.
