SS: Google is helping accelerate global disinformation. A tool, part of 'Nano Banana 2' will grab the information from any location on earth and add anything you want. Fake nuclear reactor? Flattened nuclear reactor? There is some dozy mechanism for people to interrogate images but 'Iran is building nukes' based on a fake image will be viral and available around the world before anyone bothers to check. Disinformation could extend wars, limit cooperation and generally slow the already-slow transition to an increasingly distant survivable future.
