This bug(or feature as apple sees it) is a decade old.
Just upgraded from a 2018 mac mini with 3 monitors to an M4 Pro.
Whenever the screen locks and I unlock it, all of my windows now appear on one monitor and I have to manually drag all the windows back to where they were.
This never happened with my 2018 mini.
Running the same OS (Sequoia) with the same display settings, same monitors (two thunderbolt, one hdmi).
Any idea on how to stop this from happening?

The screens aren't waking fast enough for the Mac to realise they're there. Only fix I know is if you can manually wake the screens first. Annoying bug.
