My dad found these scraps in some old belongings from his mother. They look to me like scraps or cuttings from Catholic priest vestments. He wants me to sew them onto the back of a denim jacket, but I’m thinking I ought to stabilize them with a backing fabric first? Any suggestions for what to use? I want to secure the edges from unraveling as well but I’m not sure about using a serger for that.
Also if anyone is aware of any traditions around hacking up and saving a chasuble, let me know. Wtf, grandma!
