To be fair this is an easily fixable problem the city won’t help fix. The specific accordance people have is the beeping alert the cars make when they back up, which is a legally required safety feature. There’s no reason a regulation couldn’t be passed that allows Waymo to silence the beeps when the cars are backing up inside their own private, secured lots during overnight hours, but the local government won’t assist with enacting that.
