it's getting ridiculous. AIs going offscript breaking into random companies online starts to feel like business as usual
It's a PR stunt. Be more skeptical.
OP is a bot?

If they are able to ban breaking of copyright, violent content etc etc, how they are not able to stop AI from hacking the companies?
If you ask it to do something it try’s to do what is asked. And then you have a PR campaign minus the human being responsible
Their highly paid IT forgot to unplug the internet cable when they set up the isolated environment. Repeatedly. It couldn't possibly be that they deliberately left the computer connected, isolated from the internet only by sandboxing software with known bugs that the AI they were testing had a proven ability to exploit.
And yet Opus 5.0 cannot solve “simple” problems I throw at it.
The increase in cyber capabilities is real. You can look to an independent evaluator like the UK's AISI to see how models keep improving.: https://www.aisi.gov.uk/blog/how-fast-is-autonomous-ai-cyber-capability-advancing
OpenAI announces something, so Anthropic is like: “Oh yeah? Well mine hacked three companies. Double dog dare you no take backs.” It’s so childish.
Yet all the moron bros keep falling for it.
Stop with the baseless conspiracy theories. The credibility of the OpenAI/Huggingface event is not seriously contested anywhere but r/technology. Where’s your evidence that this was an orchestrated act? Reddit vibes?
Read the MIT tech review

Read the intrusion timeline, which isn’t some press release, it is written for other security teams with the fabrication surface enormous and every technical claim is checkable by anyone who knows Kubernetes: https://huggingface.co/blog/agent-intrusion-technical-timeline
You Redditor capability deniers are crossing into cult-territory and y’all are in for a wild next decade.
You know they’re doing this to try and get the federal government to respond with regulations. Even though American AI companies are doing the hacking, they’re probably targeting open source and foreign models.
Already been posted And I don’t believe this tbh. We can’t this his company when it’s pure marketing
its marketing...
You need to puor trillions into our fancy chatbot because it's going to be a digital WMD, it's going to break all encryptions, be able to hack anything comnected to the web. It will reshape the digital world. And if you don't have the the biggest and baddest AI on your side, the chinese will get you. Also ban free models.
We are entering the era where AI safety reports seem less like software bugs and more like cybersecurity reports..
No it didn’t. It’s all within the bounds of the prompts for marketing scare tactic stuff.

So you're allowed to hack your competitors as long as you say it was an "AI test"
No it didn’t lmao
These CEOs should really be charged with felonies. You know that your software is so shit that even if you tell it to not go online and break into other companies, there is a high chance it will do so anyways. You know that your sandboxing software is buggy and when used alone, can't prevent this illegal behavior. So disconnect the ducking AI software from the internet during these tests so that you can't "accidentally" break the law, or if that's not possible, then have a human supervising the stupid tests in the first place.
