They're pretty!
Thank you!
Reimagined my first dnd character! For reference, here's her original design. Cute, but that was the problem. It was cute :(
Grillo (cricket in spanish) is a neutral, sometimes chaotic evil-leaning character. She used to be a seamstress who was outcasted for stealing materials, and it's on community service to make up for it. She loves showing off her bounty as if they were the most interesting pieces you could lay your puny eyes on, without noticing nobody gives a shit.
She is vile, uninterested, lazy, loves pulling teeth and spines from her fallen foes, and has a small collection of gold trinkets. So to simplify, she's 20cm (I think that's 7.8 inches) of egocentrism.
...therefore, it made no sense that she looked like a cute bug girl, so I changed her design to be more like a green bug, swapped her colored beads to golden jewelry, removed her aviator hat, so now she looks less prepared and more "on the go" and slightly adjusted her face so it's easier to make her expressive. (You don't know how difficult it is to draw an expressive character when you choose not to give them eyebrows, so I gave her a pair)
"Kyju" is her real name which means cricket in guaraní (an indigenous dialect mainly from some South American countries) but since she's a pixie, she chose to give a fake name, wink wink.
So that's my little essay on my Kyju! I love this girl. Bad thing she's currently inactive lol
They're pretty!
Thank you!
Love it
Thank you!
She is cute (in a way that definitely fits the character you described!). I love the art style too! Very nice job ☺️
Glad you think so! I believe her past design was too dull for what I was trying to convey
That's some of the best handwriting I've ever seen, tf you talking about
what 😭 Thank you but you literally have no idea how many times I had to rewrite the dialogue
Eternal schemer eyes. Nice.
Cute, but that was the problem. It was cute :(
Hate to break it to you, but she's still cute.
Finally, a cricket that looks like the chaotic businesswoman she's supposed to be.
