- Every hero is fighting 250hp targets (25% increase from OW1, only Reaper and Mei had that hp before) with tanks having nearly OW1 hp themselves and no damage buffs. (most glaring issue) - Hog is still in his Übermensch 5v5 form - Subrole passives add up over a round and really mess with the flow of it - A lot of perks are stupidly broken (Steamroller, Hogdrogen Exposure)
Yeah I’m good after a while. Ttk and sustain are ridiculous because of the 5v5 hp changes still being in the mode that it nearly completely ruins how the mode feels. I think 6v6 could be amazing but until they’ve shown that a massive chunk of stuff is okay to revert I’m good.

I can understand the hesitancy, imagine working on stuff for months to have to revert it all for a QP test to be good, but man do those systems feel awful
A character balance is needed. You only have 3 main tanks now. Rein, Sigma and Ram. Everyone wants to play DPS and now you have DPS healers that track stats, not win the game. The game is officially unbalanced.
I've always thought what the game needed was a split between main tanks and off tanks. Main tank should be anything that actively and consistently blocks damage to allies (rein, sigma), and off tank that can't do that (junkerqueen, doomfist). Even in overwatch 1 some of the worst metas were from stacking main tanks like double shield + bastion. Do 1 tank, 3 dps, and 2 support for queues. Tank can only play tank and off tank roles. One of the dps can flex to off tank if they choose, but not main tank.
Yeah as much as I love 6v6 they need to bite the bullet and make some serious balancing changes to make it work again Luckily they actually did make some this time, but it was just playing around with cooldowns
Yeah I’m a Dva main and everything feels off. I’m taking so much more damage from another tank and my characters health and shield have both been nerfed
try being a ball and sig main lol ... for me. everyone wants to play dps ...and all the dps over extend by miles or dont help on or near point and all drop like flies the moment shit goes down
I’m okay with this, Dva is and can be a nightmare usually. She’s had her time in the sun. Queen and Doom however need some luvin’
I feel the same with Ball. All the new CC they've added, plus no extra health to make up for a 6th person to shoot at me makes it feel like I'm being punished for simply existing in the game. I'm by no means a top tier player but I am a good Ball in 5v5. In 6v6 I feel like I'm contributing nothing at all.
Nerfed compared to what? OW1 2-2-2 tank health or OW2 5v5 tank health?
Isn’t the QP hacked mode seen as a test run to see what they could do in the future with the game?
Yes. And like the last one it's poorly balanced and a miserable play. I'm sticking to open queue 6v6 and mystery heroes if I need that fix unless my old tank duo is online.
We don't specifically know what the test is trying to accomplish. It could just be gauging interest. It could be about seeing what queue times look like in 6v6 role queue. Hell it could just be a way to gather data to say "okay look, queue times fucking suck because none of y'all nerds want to play tank even though we gave you every option to play tank, even in game after the queues popped, so 6v6 role queue is dead and it's your fault" I clearly have no bias about which I want to happen
U know what they need to change the most? Getting stuck in the infinite tank loop when i choose all roles. Like wtf! Just because i wanna play tank doesn't mean u be torturing me to keep playing tank!!! Just make a bloody queue, if a player get tank twice in a row, the 3rd time shouldn't be the tank. Pretty sure majority of people don't wanna play tank bec of this. 1-3-2 kind of fixed it but I'm doubtful they will ever get back to that mode for role queue. They desperately need the 3rd mode imo but it won't be successful as not many people will be able to play all 3 modes and we'll have bots. And changing the hero's stats is difficult. I genuinely feel like this is their bottleneck situation but imo, 1-3-2 works and brings up a middle ground for people to try things
Unironically making a thing where you can't be put into a role after playing it so many times in a row would make people actually want to queue all roles because that's my main gripe with it rn too like I LIKE playing tank, but like, not *every* game
i played 18 games over the past 3 days and only won 4. if this is the 6v6 they’re shipping out next year then i’m good they can keep it
Matchmaking is all over the place. I'm at 74% WR. I'm a 6v6er and I know a lot of people aren't used to it but it's been pretty wacky. I imagine they are pulling lots of matchmaking levers behind the scenes.
I haven’t played this one yet bc my experience with the last one was so bad. I played 30 games, even won all but like 4 (solo Tanking ofc) and it was still just awful
Yes, it's the fault of the balance that you loses so many games as clearly the opponent is getting buffs while your team gets debuffs.
I actually find balancing mostly okay other than nitpicks. My main issue (which isn't new by any means to 6v6) is that your tanks in most matches are the same 2-3 characters which often try to basically play as DPS anyway. I actually think that with basically everyone fighting tank so hard in any and all modes they do they should lean into this aspect. I mean we basically reduced heal botting so supports could be more versatile and it made them WAY more popular. Do the same with tank but make them less sit up front and soak up damage and fun/versatile. I am aware some people HATE this and want tanks to be pure tanks. But I can't help but feel OW has long been moving this direction. Blur the lines between roles a slight bit more for the sake of characters being fun yet still practical
that atrocity need to be deleted permanently not ajusted .simply adding 6v6 role que 2-2-2 besides 6v6 open que will solve all
I've found the matchmaking to be pretty weird and I've been winning most of my games. I do not like the change they made to the in-combat healing reduction (30% to 15%). I can feel the extra healing and I don't like it. I felt like there was way too much sustain since all the way back to the tail end of OW1 and when they implemented the 30% healing reduction from all damage in season "1" (2026) things finally felt a lot better. On a related note, I'd love to see season 9 go away. I have never seen anybody defend those changes. I only see people hating them so hopefully the devs are considering removing them. The despair I felt as a Zenyatta main when season 9 came and my old basic af hero now had to hit another headshot on people diving me... I also do not like perks. They feel so goofy and poorly implemented. Picking them mid-fight is annoying, especially because *I pick the exact same ones every single time so why not just automatically pick the one I want.* They often just power creep or make heroes too well-rounded. Annoying and meaningless fluff imo. They must have shoved them in because fortnite has them and every company wants to make money like fortnite. Season 9 and perks are obviously not exclusive to 6v6 but nevertheless, they suck and bring down the experience of the game. All imo ofc. I love 6v6 to bits and since it came back as open queue, I havent looked back at 5v5 a single time. I don't even play event modes anymore if they're 5v5. I really hope 6v6 gets the attention it deserves because it could be crazy good. I find it so much more competitive than 5v5.

Yeah they should have taken the time to do a buff that's halfway between 5v5 and 6v6. You'd have to do some on a case by case basis like instead of zarya being allowed double self bubble, maybe just make the self one longer?
Match making is fubar. Rolled or get rolled today. Last game my team won by about 80 elims to 3. Third time ever playing Mauga, about fifteen minutes in total. Feel like I've got his kit down. ;-)
Why would they make an entire massive patch for 3 days?
I want to believe Roadhog rework is coming really soon and that's why they haven't tweaked him for these QP Hacked playtests. What a joysucking hero
I always see so many people stressed out over the devs trying stuff out for analysis or growth, as if they don't already know the data and plan on making tweaks in the future. I'm just over here enjoying the challenge of adapting to new conditions.
I honestly love the overwatch 2 perks and passives. I don’t get the hate for them at all.
As someone that has only played OW1 and classic events, I decided to start the game to try this mode everybody has been talking about. The balance is bad. That's all there is to it. I understand this is "just a test", but the feedback and data they're going to receive will be mixed. Maybe the data will tell them what changes need to be made, but I think they definitely should have tinkered with more before implementing this mode. I hope they get it sorted out and implement a permanent 2-2-2 6v6 mode. If not, and really even if then, give us a permanent Classic mode in arcade. It's time.
/shrug the balance isn't any worse than 5v5 and having 2 tanks is just such a better experience it's a win

I absolutely agree, changes are needed. I play exclusively support and I feel like I am pushed into being a heal bot with the added players. That and I get dived on constantly by the 2nd tank. The passives need to be adjusted.
Who do you play? I do tons of damage on Baptise in this mode and get plenty of saves. Juno and Mizkui arealso really good in 6v6 for doing both damage and healing.
I’m pretty much an exclusively 6v6 player and have never found the balancing to be that bad. It’s just different so you’re not used to it. And so many 5v5 players don’t know what they’re doing in 6v6. When I go to 5v5, I have a bit of a harder time because I’m not used to that mode, but I wouldn’t say it’s not balanced. If you’re a 5v5 player coming to 6v6, stop playing like 5v5. Realize it’s a different mode and may require different play styles.
They also buffed the damage of many tanks, rein, rammatra, zarya, hog, sigma, winston, ball are all the ones i can remember off the top of my head
