I think you should go in order get both games.. i played all of them their all good 👍
Both are on sale, have played the remastered spiderman 1 on ps5? Have heard too many reviews saying Miles morales is too short? With spiderman 2 on a sale at $29 vs $19 miles, if I can only take one, should I just jump in 2? Or will I be missing out on a lot if I skip miles?
I loved the remastered and platinumed it and all the dlcs for context.

You won’t miss much if you skip Miles Morales. The story of that game is very focused on that character and his community in Harlem, which all gets recapped at the beginning of Spider-Man 2 so it’s not like you’ll be missing any important details.
Noted thanks!
I just beat Miles and I'm 1/3 of the way through Spider-Man 2, Miles feels like a prequel for sure. You can skip it if you're dirt broke but it's for sure worth 20. Spiderman 2 feels like a mini series, 10 episodes, 1 hour each where as Mules felt kike a movie which might be a little less than two hours. You can feel the quality difference right away from the two games but I really feel like it adds to the story. Only get 2 if you have to choose one, but try to get both, worth the money you mentioned! Also, I think they give you a recap of Miles within spiderman 2.
I'm so dearly wish this narrative that games need to be long and bloated to justify the price tag to be gone the sooner the better. There are very few games out there that can hold players interest at the 100h mark, especially so if it's a single player narrative driven games, the few that can were all GOTY caliber. A 20-40hr is the sweet spot that balance entertainment and respecting player time nowadays.
Definitely Spider-Man 2! Huge difference in quality
I really liked the Rhino part in Miles - that was awesome. That said, SM2
You don't necessarily need to play Miles Morales before 2, as there's a recap option, so I would buy 2. Also, Miles Morales hits so much harder when it's Christmas time, so if you can remember to try playing it then
I didn't know there's a recap section, Thanks!
I never played SM2 but I thought Miles was quite short. Definitely felt shorter than the SM1
That's because it's basically a large standalone dlc. It was only 40 I believe on release.
Miles Morales all the way. Imo it's the best Spiderman game and should be played before Spiderman 2.
Seems like I'm in the minority. Dang, im going to get so down voted. 😳 This is just my opinion, both games are dope.
I bet it depends a lot on if it's the first time you've seen Miles. I spent most of Miles Morales mildly disappointed I wasn't Spiderman. Playing Spiderman 2, I enjoyed the interactions with Miles way more than I would have if I hadn't played Miles Morales. I have the sneaking suspicion that if I knew Miles before his game I would have enjoyed his game a lot more.
This may be an unpopular opinion, but... Miles Morales was a much more fun game that didn't overstay its welcome. Spider Man 2 had tedious, repetitive combat sections that felt like they would never end. You can totally jump to 2 without a problem but I think you'll like Mikes Morales more. Or at least, I did.
I agree. I played SM2 once to the end, PS5, and won't touch it again. Didn't bother buying the PC version, for all it's glory. SM: Miles Morales I finished on PS5 and bought the PC version. As short as it was, I keep that one installed. (The PC version is unoptimized, and a mess on RTX3080TI. But it shines, soars, and scores on RTX5080.)
I agree. I mean SM2 is probably technically the better game, but I enjoyed Miles Morales more. The combat in 2 did begin to feel tedious. Kind of just rinse and repeat.
Spiderman 2 is a direct continuation of Miles Morales. I'd play it first
I think Miles Morales is short as 5-10 hrs. rather just get SpiderMan2 instead. Just watch Miles Morales cutscenes if you really curious, cuz its not much story n bosses r few
Miles Morales is more of a dlc than a full game imo. It's really short. Spider-Man 2 has far more content.
SM2. Miles Morales felt more like a DLC for SM1. I liked 2 a lot more.
Are you on ps5 or pc?
Ps5
2, but both are pretty bad compared to Spiderman 1.
I didn't love Spider-Man 2, but a bad game by any means, but the first one was better story wise.
You'll appreciate 2 more if you play it after Morales, both are pretty good. The vibe of SM Morales is especially good when replaying it during christmas.
You’d be missing out on some plot progression for sure if you skip Miles. Not much like I’m sure you could piece most of 2 together just fine without it but a couple things do happen that come back or ripple. Also you’d be skipping a really good game. IMO the best use of the formula of the 3 games. Yes it’s short, but it’s short n sweet. It feels way less bloated n padded than the other 2 games and I personally really dug the vibe. They’re both worth the cost n both worth playing, but I felt like giving support to Miles cuz I wasn’t seeing much of any. N since the stories all tie in to me it’d make most sense to snag Miles. If you’re more focused on the amount of game and content then def get 2 it’s got a lot more going on overall
Thanks for this point of view
It's basically a DLC vs a full game. IMO, Miles is the more impactful game of the two, and is pretty important to the overall story. That said, 2 will be more value for the money.
MM took me 38 hours to 100% and I wasn't rushing. It was a good time, not a long time.
Miles Morales is like a DLC to SM1. It’s the same map, with a snowy texture, a few additional combat things, and a new story. Other than that, it’s Basicily the same game. SM2 on the other hand does feel like an innovative sequel.
Miles Morales is my vote. It’s a very fun game.
