Architects in Europe, what would you suggest to focus in University to find employment in EU?

  Not meaning to discourage you in any way. Given your credentials don't you think it is better to stay in India and build up your network? I doubt that Politecnico will add much more to you financially in the long run. The economic downward trend in the EU is going to continue especially in Germany. It's not growing since 6 years. Already lost close to 200.000 jobs in the last year and it does not look good. I am mentioning this bc architects tend to forget that our profession highly depends on macroeconomic trends. If companies close down or they need to scale down their business, investing into buildings is the last thing. Long story short. The effort going through all that hassle is not worth tbh. You can also check in r/expats how Indian expats are struggling in Europe.

  I can only speak for the situation in the Netherlands. I think it’s actually doable/easy to get a job (or internship) as a foreigner in the Netherlands. However, I don’t think studying in Italy will be worth that much. That being said, I think it’s *extremely* hard to build a career as a foreigner. I’m saying this as a Dutch architect with many foreigner friends. Most foreigners will apply to the famous / fancy Dutch offices, who will hire many foreigners. You’ll probably end up working on cool projects during the competition phase. Unless you have something special (besides design talent, most do), you’ll be replaced after two years since they dont want to give you a permanent contract. I work in a smaller office (10-15 people), that trough out our existence (40+ years), have hired many foreigners. Some have stayed, and retired for many years. But this only worked since they could speak the language and knew, or learned about dutch building code.
