CMV: I’m 175 cm (5’9”), and I genuinely think it’s the most disadvantaged height in climbing. You’re too short to get the obvious reach advantages of taller climbers, but too tall to get the benefits of being super compact like shorter climbers. You don’t have the wingspan to skip moves, yet you also don’t get the lower weight, tighter body positions, and smaller box that many shorter climbers can take advantage of.

L mindset lol, i'm 5ft9.5 +0 each and i can use tall beta for a lot of route and i can also do most tight moves beyond kids' comp
I'm 5'9" -2 and I have no issue doing reachy beta 99% of the time
