This is going to be a long text but I do really need to get it off my chest and excuse the grammatical errors or spelling mistakes
I'm a 25 year old female who has been stuck in a very weird state of not knowing how to move on for about 2 years now.
Prior to that, I was a very motivated person, jumping at every opportunity I came across, very social, family had lots of hopes in me, and with a bright future ahead. That was until, something seemed to switch off inside me and I stopped caring about anything. I started procrastinating literally everything. It was a very sudden change, all the things that used to scare me or make me panic that I didn't do them or that I missed, were suddenly not a big deal to me.
It went to great lengths that it cost me my future, my friends, my education and any career I attempted to do. I would start the applications and stop them midway and by the time I remember about them, the deadlines would have passed already.
My family saw the changes in me but I couldn't find the courage to tell them what was going on and how badly I had messed my life up in fear of them being disappointed in me ( if only I had known that them knowing about it then would have maybe made them less disappointed than they are now finding about it now).
Whenever anybody would ask me how I'm doing and what's going on in my life, I would evade the questions and brush them off because I genuinely didn't know what was happening to me and was deep scared of anybody finding out about how my life is not the perfect life I make it seem to be.
However, I guess there was only how long I could hide it. I just came off the call with my mom and she probed me until I broke and told her everything. She already knew about me not finishing my education (which she has been giving me hell about) but she didn't know how broke I am ( the job I work at hasn't been paying me for months) and how everything else is so fucked up right now.
To say that she was furious was an understatement. She screamed, yelled, and shouted at me. Said very bad things to me and how she might as well just commit suicide and die because of how I've ruined her. She said that I mean nothing to anybody now and don't deserve any help from anybody because I'm the one who did this to myself. I couldn't say anything because I knew that everything she said, I deserved it but it really hurt to hear her say all that.
I've already ruined my life probably beyond repair but it was the wake up call I needed. I wake up everyday with the goal to turn my life around but this time, after that call, I'm going to be very serious about it. I've already been in the process of finishing up my degree with which I haven't been approved to yet but I'm really praying that I will be able to start soon because it will be the opening path for me. Finding a job has been really difficult without it.
I'm ready to do everything I can to turn my life around, find a job, and hopefully hopefully be allowed to finish my education. I want to look back on this in a year and be proud of myself after rising from the rock bottom to the top of my life.
If there is anybody who has been stuck in the same cycle as me and would love a pushing force to work with, feel free to reach out. I know I could really use the support. And would be very happy to chat with everyday to push each other towards doing the best versions of ourselves. Any advice would also be very appreciated on how to go about this.
I know my life being like this was all my fault, I had the biggest potential at crossing my limits but I brew all of them up. I also know that if I dedicate all my energy to getting better, that I can do it and what better time than starting today.
