I live in Brazil and work as an elementary school teacher here. I’d like to know
is it worth being a teacher in New Zealand? I’m not looking to get rich or anything like that. I just want a comfortable life.
Is that possible on teachers salary?
Would you recommend a teaching career in New Zealand?

Yes
Yes, but going off a friend's recent experience you'd be much better off financially in Australia.
I agree but the process is hard being a Braziliam. I was thinking maybe I can go to NZ, have my citizenship and later to Australia? What do you think?
Depends on where you end up teaching. I’m on the top of the pay scale, with a partner also working full time, but living in a high cost of living town with a sizeable mortgage. We’re having to budget every dollar at the moment, and often don’t have much left to buy groceries once everything else is paid.
Oh no I was thinking living in the south island
Your salary would go further if you are out of the main centres.
Yes I was thinking in the south island isn't it cheaper?
