This has to be SFO (San Francisco International). Those closely spaced parallel runways create some of the most anxiety-inducing and yet satisfying landings in the world.
Wasn't parallel landing phased out a few months ago? IIRC they now work with alternating runways.
Definitely SFO. I'm watching the planes like i'm watching them from the freeway going north on the 101.
Right? It's like a rollercoaster for your heart, and I swear my landing anxiety doubles as a cardio workout!

Serious question: Is that safe for the small plane? Wouldn't the wind gust caused by the big plane ✈️ interfere with the small plane's approach?
As long as the wind isn't perpendicular to the landing it should be fine here since they're next to each other and neither will be in the others wake

I’m more worried that it’s unsafe for both in case of either one having a malfunction/crash/etc, but I bet they’re farther apart than it looks.
If it were unsafe, they wouldnt be doing it. There isnt wind from planes like that which you immediately feel, it is like wake from a boat that spreads and dissipates over time.
It's SFO. It rarely gets windy. The bigger problem is how short the runways are because it's landlocked. You want dangerous winds, go to Denver
Parallel approaches always look slightly unreal from this angle. Two huge planes just calmly descending side by side like this is the most normal thing in the world.
I think this is SFO, the runways are legitimately quite close together. Distance is only about 200m.

Nah they were 750 ft apart. If one of them had to do a TOGA they’d just TOGA the throttles and start climbing. Alas, simultaneous parallel landings were terminated recently so this practice is now relegated to nostalgia

How do the big jets keep an eye on their landing point if their nose is actually pointing upwards... or is it always instrument-based landing with the larger jets?

Question for pilots and avid flightsim pilots, was the smaller plane slightly "flat"? Im talking about the angle they are landing, i ive seen the big planes land at a slight angle so the rear touches first, then the front, but the small one looks like it almost was in a dive, then landed flat, touching with both the front axle and the back one at the same time, they didnt, i know, but still, it looks a lot more level than the big one. My question being, is it normal for the smaller one to do that? Or was this specific landing more on the edge of a normal landing?
That is a normal approach attitude for the CRJ-200. It is a lawn dart and does not have leading-edge slats like most other airliners. It lands fast and flat.

This video had me remembering my driving lessons for a semi when driving past exit and entering vehicle ramps , "Maintain your speed and stay in your lane"
So, yes this is SFO and I've experienced it many times. The distance to the other plane didn't really bother me so much. The runways being adjacent to the water is the fun part. If you're in a window seat you look down and see the water until the last like 2 seconds before touch down. Good stuff.

Two things really stick out to me. The difference in pitch of the two craft. And just how much longer the smaller craft seemed to float before actually touching down. Great side by side comparison.
