This is my FIRST BIRD!!! Frederik is my 2 month old Turquoise Green Cheek Conure. I got him a week ago and he’s had so much good progress with learning his cage, eating, drinking, etc… he takes a lot of baby naps! I’ve done so much research and have cleared my house of really most things that could hurt his tiny lungs and I even got a little air purifier for him. Just to be clear, THIS IS A BABY BIRD YAWNING and NOT him struggling with breathing right??? (I appreciate the patience with my question, I just want to make sure he has a long and happy life)
It does look like he's just yawning, dear! Sometimes when they do it repeatedly, they could be adjusting their crop. If it's a normal resting time during this video, I see nothing alarming here. If you notice a lot of breathing sounds, discharge, or he stays fluffed or lethargic, take him to a vet.
